2006 Paddleshift Retrofit - Shifting in D
Hi all,
I have retrofitted a paddleshift steering wheel into my 2006 330D by tapping into the signal wires from the shifter in the centre console. All works as expected when in DS mode. They do not however work in D mode. My research suggested this would be the case, but I haven't seen any explanation of what is it that is different between 2006 and 2007 cars that means that it doesn't work in the former but does in the latter? Is it a case of adding some extra wires (JBE to DME?) - which would seem a pretty straightforward thing to do to get it working? Thanks, Alexander |

I have a 01/2007 E90 that can shift in D using paddles. I have a retrofitted M Sport wheel with paddles wired directly to the shifter. Not even coded for a sport steering wheel. Was a base E90 to begin with.
