Idrive made very high pitched beep then crashed.

This morning after I started driving out of my neighborhood I heard a very high pitched beep then Idrive just completely shut down while driving. the noise was so high that it hurt my ears. It started back up and went to the accept screen and then it was fine. Very strange. has this happened to anyone else? just curious. Ive never had any problems with it before.

I had this same shit drive me crazy for 5 months too.

Search on the forum you will see my multitude of posts about the crazy shit I had to deal with. I-Drive gone HAL. I mean, GPS stop working, Ipod not working, no bluetooth etc. I had the car repaired at Open Road BMW of Edison NJ. Sat at the dealer 3 weeks in the end while they tried to fix it once and for all. I was working directly with BMW NA and they asked me to take the car to Open Road. It was so messy we were discussing a buy back with my dealer in MD. In the end, they couldn't fix it, and had to change every electronic in the car. I-Drive, CCC, Most bus etc, all including the amplifier. They had no idea which of them was faulty.

I constantly got ridiculed for making claims the no codes were stored about. Finally I filmed it on video and BMW shut up and took me seriously. Then it acted up a few times at the dealership. One time the GPS reporting to the SOS center the car was 45 miles from the dealership. How crazy is that? They were testing it, and both the dealer tech and SOS concierge had a nice laugh about it. You may want to take it to dealer ASAP. Mine started with a few odd beeps, then started dying on me, then went to a beep that would be constant as soon as you started the car. Dealer could not shut it up either. Then everything started going crazy.

You also are not alone here. Someone else also had this issue, so its a known anormally but there is known fix according to field engineer who came over to Open Road to examine the car. They just have to change out the parts.

i've wondered why the car isn't completely fiber like the merc's? sure does make things like electrical gremlins easier to track down when you have a fiber loop going around the car

well not easier for the common electrician
