M57 twin turbo issue
Hi guys, got a problem that I'm wondering if anyone has heard before.
The car is an X3 sd (335d engine) I'm asking on here as there are far more 335d and 535d models about. So the problem is that it has a tapping sound (similar to exhaust leak or sticky lifter) This isn't noticeable at idle but from roughly 1300 rpm up it can be heard but only with the window down I suppose it could be a dodgy injector but till I'm back at work then I haven't got my diagnostic machine to plug her in. Any common faults or anyone had this before? |

2006. Sound appears to come from exhaust manifold area. Not aware of these cracking on the twin set up.
Only thing I can think of is if a bolt has come loose to the egr feed, the ever looks to have been changed with a used unit as it has the usual paint pen markings on top that you would get from a scrappers. |
