335i + Sports Package + RunFlats Boston Experience

I love my 335.......but sometimes it feels like I love it like a hot, abusive, high maintenance girl that is great at sex and nothing else.....I bought it with the sports package and run flats, and the GE tire/rim warranty....and a year later I have

-replaced 4 tires
-done 2 alignments

Guys please tell me, does anyone else get tortured around New England, and on the way to NYC for instance.....I have a 328i as a loaner today without either the sports package and runflats, and it feels just like a NORMAL CAR......it absorbs bumps in the road....my 335i on the other hand feels like an unruly beast that knocks my teeth , and follows EVERY GROOVE IN THE ROAD and tends to rip the steering wheel out of my hand.....jesus christ.

I've been driving around on non run flats longer than I have been on the run flats. I don't get boucned around as much anymore. I did recently get a stripped out loaner and the suspension definately absorbed more bumps. The normal sports suspension doesn't really bother me too much as I drive around the city and rarely in it.

It's not the suspension, it's the runflats.

I've heard that the newer E9x's have a more forgiving suspension

what would happen

If I replaced the runflats with 4 all-seasons and kept a spare? Would an 18" spare fit in the spare area? How do the 19" sports package guys do this?

I've got a compact spare and jack sitting in my trunk.

I put non-runflats on back in '07 and have never looked back! I bought a Tire Slime repair kit, and a traditional repair kit and put them in the trunk. Thankfully I've never had to use them. And anything I can't fix with either of those, I'll call the roadside assistance in (AAA now that the warranty has expired).

if you have a 2007 with the 16" or 17" bridgestone rfts....you're qualify for the bridgestone tire class action settlement. maybe you can use your bill to claim

or sell me a copy of the bill

anyways, the conti. or the mich. ps2 rfts are much much better than the bridgestone rfts if you still want run flats

Check out the mobility kit from Tischer, it's what I plan on getting in the spring.
