Question Muffler Delete Question

I have an E90 335xi and I am considering having a muffler delete done but leaving the stock resonator, but I wanted to know if this will be louder than what I have now and if so how much? I already have catless downpipes and the golf tee mod but it just isn't loud enough. I have a friend with an E92 335is with stock exhaust and catless downpipes and I want to be at least that loud. I have searched the forums but haven't found an exact answer. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

muffler delete with catless downpipe is going to sound like absolute garbage. like BDSM said, delete your secondary cats first at a muffler shop. if thats not loud enough for you, then replace your muffler or do the PE mod to your current one and you'll be happy with the sound.

if you are concerned about smell, you might actually wanna keep your secondaries. if you dont give a shit then may as well remove them too.

Will this make my car noticeably louder? From what I have heard it doesn't change the tone too much and I am looking for something very loud. I would go for an aftermarket system but it's not in my budget right now.

from the way it sounds nothing is going to work for you besides straight pipe. get rid of your muffler and secondary cats. you'll love it.

buy a race muffler from dynomax or flowmaster to help with drone. weld them up where your muffler was and get a set of tips.

Delete the resonator last. It actually is very well designed at eliminating drone, but probably heavier than aftermarket resonators. Deleting the resonator will make it very loud, but MGB sounding, not sporty sounding.

It changes the tone but not a massive difference. This with a new high flow muffler Is what you want
