I'm sorta in the same boat. My car has iDrive but no bluetooth. I'm also wondering if there's a way to figure out if the car is pre-wired with bluetooth. What I don't understand is,why do I have a phone button on my steering wheel that does absolutely nothing since I don't have bluetooth??

$1000 sounds cheap. I'm reading other posts saying it's a lot more expensive than that -- $1500 ish. Is it only $1000?!?
