It would be great if we could get some other model specific midwest groups to go. GTO's are close in speed.. There is an ls1gto.com group in the Chicagoland area which would be cool to run - or even the EVO groups....

A guy I work with has a modded GTO which should run well with the modded 335s, he's going to try and make it to this meet.

I talked to some evo guys and they are going to try to make it. Spread the word. to these forums, looks like we have some IS's, Evo's, and GTO's to run.
I cant wait to see how much the LSD is going to help me with my 60 foot times. I want to see if I can run under a 12.4. Thats fast as hell for a daily driver luxuary crusier. |

Do you normally run drag radials on the street or do you swap em for the dragstrip?
I'm thinking of downsizing to 18" and using old 18" tires instead of burning up my nice PS2s. They're about 400 bucks a tire!!! |

1 more week. According to weather.com, it should be cool and cloudy. Cool so it'll help DA, but cloudy so low pressure so it'll hurt DA. We won't break any records, but it shouldn't be so bad - as long as we can get decent traction on cold VHT.

Will there be more 335s with m6 reps than without?

I'll be on 19" m6 reps, 265 in back, ps2s. not exactly an ideal drag setup, but it should help my 60' times out a bunch compared to the oem RFTs, at least i hope.
sounds like a friend of mine from work with a modded GTO will be joining us, i think I'll know for sure soon. Lets hope the weather is dry.

Anybody bringing a video cam? I want to get my first 12 second run on camera! I've got some pretty hefty mods since I last went and got the 13.22Not to start a flame war, but that's faster than ANY STOCK 335i on dragtimes with drag radials or not! Oh I've done it... I drew first blood... See you guys on Sunday.

So, it's the night before so I might as well as let you in on my mods. I actually sold my IS350 a few weeks ago and got an IS-F so technically, it's still an IS, but not an IS350 anymore. It's totally stock, but I'm thinking of waking up early tomorrow and slapping on my winter 18" rims and old Dunlop tires so I don't burn up my 349$ 19" PS2s. I remember one of your posts hoping for the new M3 or an IS-F to compare to so maybe we can get a run against each other. I'm just as curious as you. If it's not too much to ask, maybe you can take me down the strip and I can take you down the strip once too - never rode in a modded 335i. -Young |

Way to show up Crazy Bimmer! Emil was a no show, and a few others.
What happened? We had fun though. Cars ran decent but not great. Track was not prepped very good at all. Needs to get a little warmer out and it will be perfect. |
