G Series Paddle Shifters on e9x
With my pre-lci paddles starting to flake off and I am thinking about replacing them sometime soon. I was thinking about getting the g series ones since they would be aluminum and they look similar to the lci or f series paddles. I was wondering if it is possible to swap these paddles over since the module looks similar to the lci paddles.
Would it be possible to do this swap while making sure the paddles don’t extend out like the e9x m3 paddles. I am trying not to cut into the steering wheel. |

they will not work. I own an A90 Supra (same paddle shifters as G-series), and had the G80 M3 competition paddle shifters on Supra, then when i got new shifters, tried installing them on my E90, and they physically wont even fit.
While the module looks virtually identical to the LCI shifters, the housing that they sit in are completely different. So what I did for my Pre-lci shifter e90, was bought the LCI shifters and did the rewiring. That was nice for a while, but then ended up buying generic magnetic paddle shifters for e9x chassis online. |
