Clever but unless all cars had them there would still be a problem, I never bang my door into anyone else !

No niether do I........ but I can understand the requirement, say for example a loved one catching your door on the wall on the driveway

Guess it does give owners the excuse not to take as much care and atention when opening thier doors "well its ok I've got the door catchers *smash*" scenario

I doubt it would stop the door from denting the other car. I guess the idea is that it protects your car so fuck everyone else.

It would protect the other car too and I think that's kind of the point in the video, otherwise they would have used a wall. If the protector is made of a rubberised nylon, as it appears to be, that's going to cause far less damage to another car than the welded seam edge of a door.

I don't think the thoughtless Knobheads who hit other cars with their doors are likely to have them fitted.
