definitely a trade off for that increase in power in the higher RPMs. For a street driven car it looks like the PS2 is certainly the better buy.

The PS2 is such a great turbo and is a great option for the N55. Having said that, the PS2 can’t touch a PS3 on a street, strip, or track driven car. The Dyno is a great tool to show performance gains, but the dragy shows real world performance. Both leave my opinion out of it and prove the performance gains over a PS2.

I know the PS2 on full tilt (25psi) can put down maybe 510-520whp and have yet to see one go 6.05 100-200k. I think the fastest I have seen is 6.7s for a PS2, which is still movin.

The PS3 right now is just cruising and much much faster. Both are great options in my experience, but the results make it clear the PS3 is the faster car.

Hopefully that helps.

Minor update. Been working on my tune and noticed with slightly richer AFR, around 12.0ish vice 12.3ish, the car felt faster. My dragy times are faster as well.

Of course every flat road I find in Mexico to squeeze a run in manages to be not flat enough. So I give up until I get to a half mile event. But here a couple of my runs. Whether was kind of warm, around 78ish. Not going to add it to the op since it’s invalid but that’s what I’ve been up to!

Wow, I am happy to hear we have a new nice option. I am mentally getting ready to massively upgrade my xDrive regular OTS FBO car to something serious but I didn't want to settle for PS2.

The big boost kits on the N55e platform aren't the best honestly, even Docrace removed their Topmount kit and opted for a bottom mount one, so option-wise, Pure still makes some of the best products when talking about performance and installation, integration.

A while back on their Instagram, Pure was saying that they would put out a Pure800 Turbo for the N55e platform.

Is the Pure Stage 3 supposed to be that Pure800 they have been talking about?

Here is the post in question: https://www.instagram.com/p/CJto-SMJhaw/

Anyways, your car seems to be doing amazing good shit!

TBH, I think the turbo in that post is the one on my car, but I may be wrong. I also believe the pure 800 and PS3 are one in the same, but it will be called the PS3. That’s my guess though and I can be totally wrong.

I do agree this will be a great option. I especially like the OEM fitment.

Thanks, the car is definitely hauling butt. I should also mention I think I am at the limit of my single fuel pump setup and E50, which should support 600whp. I believe that’s is where I am at so it kind of makes sense. I will need to look into dual pump options and the supporting mods if I turn up the boost some more in the future.

Awesome! Yeah I am thinking same as you, that the Pure800 is the PS3.

Other than upgrading the LPFP for a dual pump setup, do you think of doing port injection?

I have PI, 950cc injectors. That side of the setup can provide enough fuel, I think it’s the lpfp that is tapped out. With a second pump I could up the boost and e85 I believe. But things start to get complicated fast with a second pump so on the fence about going that route.

Thought about the BMP4? It's grossly overpriced but really takes the complication out of running a second pump. Honestly I'm surprised you've been doing all this with just one pump, that's pretty impressive haha.

I'm running Fuel it state 3 (2 pump setup) with a hobbs switch and I don't like the lack of cleanliness but it actually works really well. If my current EKP dies though, I'll bite the bullet and go with the BMP4 because it's really the "right" way to do it.

I am also running a bpm4. I am starting to realize I have way more kids than I can remember haha. The bpm4 is pricey but honestly a great product. So I have that part covered for a second pump. I’m pretty sure I will need to add an external fpr and return line too. For some reason I am under the assumption it’s a huge hassle. Maybe it isn’t though.
