N55 PS2 Wategate rattle or something else?

2011 335 N55 New PS2 with 500 miles on it. When the engine is hot and at idle I hear a rattle that constantly varies in the same surging pattern louder then softer. If I rev the engine to about 1k rpm it gets a little louder and then you can't hear it at about 2k rpm and up. You can't hear this noise while driving. Wastegate rattle or something else? Any ideas? Thanks

I did some more investigation and found the noise is actually coming from the transmission bell housing area. Its an automatic 6hp awd. Has anyone experienced this noise?
