ipod and logic 7 // and a comfort access question
Can an ipod plug into the jack in my car and play on the logic 7?
Do mp3's play on the 7? Does comfort access have remote start? |

Thanks Matt. I thought I read an adapter or something was needed to play my nano in my car. Glad to see that it isn't required.
Don't think I will bother with CA. After reading a poll on it in a search, seems like it doesn't work that well anyway, and I can live with pressing a button. |

Yes they can. In my 320 / 2006 with pro logic 7 and i drive i play IPOD NANO by jack in auxiliar and by radio transmission FM wireless with reception in radio frequency established, MP3 wireless. And BMW has one interface IPOD with the device for 350€ but you can burn cd or dvd with MP3 and the system will play them, 150 songs on the cd and 700 songs on dvd. I have music for 6 months lol.

So if I can't play my nano on my 7, what this the jack in between the seats good for? Does it do anything? I am not too happy about no nano and no XM. I am stuck with Sirius if I want to use the connector in the trunk it seems. Hope they get some of this stuff going.

Just use the Aux jack in the armrest for now. Sound quality is good. BMW and others are currently developing an adaptor for the E90 that will allow it to play over the iDrive. Just a couple of months away.

yes, just plug it in... for now we have to use teh aux jack. hopefully soon, there will be an ipod adapter that we can actually control the ipod with the factory hu.
there are no special issues with logic 7... the 7-channel is interpolated from a stereo source anyway... there are no digital inputs on the factory hu, and no such thing as a 7 channel radio broadcast or cd... so it doesn't make sense that the aux jack would be any different. |
