Blackberry & E90

Well for all of us who have been waiting I'm an avid user on the Blackberry forums as well as this one. I downloaded version 4.1 on my 7290 and unfortunetly the address book still does not transfer over to the E90. There are device options to allow transfering but it doesn't work.

I did read that BMW is only allowing this to work on Canadian E90's because of the current RIM issues but I dont' know if this is why it doesn't work.

We just have to wait.

Blackberry 4.1

What provider do you have? I have been waiting for Cingular/RIM to make 4.1 available for my 7100g.

I just read in another thread that someone on Cingular got their 7100 to sync and someone else on verizon got their 7100e to sync as well.... I'm on TMO and have not tried the 4.1 version. I'm always nervous to try those HongKong versions...

Blackberry 7100g and BMW

I have used the Hong Kong version of 7.1 on my 7100g and my updated CIP20 BMW 325xi for over a week now. Works fine with no issues.

Blackberry Lawsuit

RIM will be back in action hours after shutdown, if it happens at all, with software workaround. It has been preparing for the past year.

I have a T-Mobile USA 7290 and it synchs perfectly on my CIP20-level June 05 production car.

It works so well that if I have an entry with two numbers in the 7290 (e.g., a mobile and office number), BOTH are expanded into the address book. For example, John Doe - Offfice and John Doe - Mobile.

That makes it possible to use voice command to say, "Dial John Doe mobile."

I did nothing, zip, nada to get it work other than pairing the car and the phone.
