Bluetooth and Mic

I have the following phones

SPV C500
SPV C550

Both sync Ok with the car and when I receive a call I hear the caller well through the speaker system

The issue is that the person on the other end is convinced that I am in war zone . The issue seems to be with the Mic. Does anyone else have the same problem?.

In summary, I have disabled the bluetooth as the phone experience is very poor

Most on this forum seem to have a good opinion of the OUTGOING signal. I'm with you, though, as I don't think my wife is very clear at all when she calls me from the car. I agree that it is the mike, because the OUTGOING signal in my e46 with an add-on Bluetooth kit is great.

I think I've said before in another thread, I have the SPV C600 on Orange in the UK & have no problem with incoming or outgoing call quality.
Perhaps you could try your phone in another car at the first UK meet Highlander & see if it is a problem with your mic &/or phones.

Just a thought. Could the phone still be using its internal microphone?

Try tapping the micrphones to see which mic is in use.

If you have BMW assist, try calling in and see if they here it.

I believe it uses the same mic.
