H&R Street Performance vs KW V1 coilovers

Hello, I am doing a full suspension refresh on my car. I am debating these two. The H&R pros: it can go much lower and it seems that it's also somewhat sportier. KW pros: seems like it has more actual technical engineering pedigree.

I am currently going for the H&R's due to them being cheaper and also the ability go lower and not be as floaty. HOWEVER, I will be doing thrust + control arms as well as a strut brace and I am scared that the H&R will end up being too stiff once has been done, and I am too lazy to keep chasing the perfect setting

I've had 2 sets of KWs now, one on an e46 and one on an e90 and haven't been impressed with either. I don't think I would consider KW my next time around, FWIW.

I just sold the KW V1 for OEM shocks and H&R while they still worth something.

-KW were wayyyy too low for my taste, even on highest setting.

-I want to keep my car for 10-15 years, and dont want to deal with KW replacement $$$. Here roads are bad, and rear shocks leak first. Rockauto rear oem-like shock, bilstein is 40$.

- E90 OEM handling is already very good. KW v1 make my daily commute too ''aggressive'' let say, and the handling was subjectively little better, but comfort very bad.

I like my v1s, so there's no accounting for taste. I ran bilsteins with Eibach springs for years, and of course, ran the OE setup. For me, the v1s are what this car should have come from the factory with.

There's lots of variables you'll be wanting to consider, so depending on what your needs are, your car, your region, your budget etc., you'll just need to review the most popular options, research how people with similar goals as yours liked and disliked, and make the call.

Good luck!
