e46 or e92?? Same price. Better Deal?

Hey guys, so I am in the market for a bmw and have come across two very nice cars. I was wondering what your thoughts are concerning these. Both are at a BMW Dealership here in Cali.

2005 330ci ZHP coupe
Black on Black
56,000 miles
6 Speed
$21.995

2007 328i Coupe
Black on Black
72,000 miles
6 speed
$21,495
1 owner

Overall both cars look beautiful, obviously the e92 looks newer, but it is the "lower end" model where as the 330ci zhp is the "high end" model for that generation.

I know the 2005 would be extremely hard to find with those miles/condition where as the 2007 is easier to come by. But does anyone know about the resale values of these cars? Maintenance issues or costs? Which would be lower? Im going to check insurance values right now.

I like both body styles but as a young person I am trying to watch my monthly payment and not get ahead of myself. I think the 2005 is more negotiable in terms of price but I am not sure what you guys know that maybe I dont?

i would take the e46 mainly due to the high milage of the e92.
btw, only 335i has the HPFP issues.

You can get an e46 M3 with 60K miles for around $21-22K now...would take that over both of the cars you have listed. Good luck.

I'd pass on both and look for something with fewer miles in an E9X body.

I have an E92 335 and E46 ZHP now. I've owned a 2007 328.

As between the ZHP and the E9X 328, I find that the ZHP is the better all around car. I was bored in the 328. It was uninspiring to me. I enjoy the ZHP a lot.

Because most of us drive between 70 and 80 mph on a regular basis, I'd take my ZHP over my 335. There's more to life than speed.

If you're looking for one of the great, all around cars, be sure to give the ZHP a long look.

As for the price, that ZHP you're looking at seems overpriced to me. I picked mine up for less than $19K. Same miles.

As people have stated, both are overpriced, but I'd go with the ZHP for sure. The E46 has a classic look and mod potential is endless.

Out of those 2 choices, the ZHP.

The E46 M3, however is in the same price range. No question thats what I would be looking for. Your in SF, there are so many BMWs to chose from you should be able to find exactly what your looking for. Good luck.

I didn't mention it in my earlier post but the ZHP you have listed is overpriced. Leave the Bay Area and find a ZHP elsewhere for less.
