Slight stumble/hesitation during startup
About 3 weeks ago I scheduled a service appt for my 07 335i coupe that has ~30k miles on it. I had started to notice what seemed like at times a very slight longer crank so I figured why not get the HPFP recall and Injector recalls done etc. They performed those recalls giving me a new HPFP, 3 new injectors, and a free maintenance oil change.
Since getting the car back at times it seems the issue during crank has gotten worse. It's never as bad as some of the videos I've seen with 5+ sec cranks but it is slightly longer than what I remember and at times it seems like the engine "stumbles" a bit right as it fires up. So of course this got me thinking HPFP problems but I'm just not sure if could be that or anything else, possibly spark plugs? Car only has 30k miles so not sure how they'd look. I had started doing video captures of each crank but then it wouldn't do it for a while and I'd as soon as I'd decide to not record It would do it again. So I have yet to capture it on video. The main reason for asking this is my warranty will expire in about 1 month so if it could be any other issues than HPFP I'd like to get it documented or checked out soon. If it just sounds like the HPFP I guess I can live with that given the 10yr extension on that part. I am tuned with a JB4 and DCI. I notice absolutely no other symptoms during driving so not sure if the tune could have anything to do with it. Thanks for help. |
