There are plenty of internal notes that change the N55 over the years, BMW knew its a problem and slowly pushed changes in the engine to the later 2012 and F-chassis engines.

Just pray that BMW did not use the same rod bearing tolerances in the 2010/2011 N54.

2010/2011 was the year they switched suppliers for the rod bearings and that's why you see so many 2011 M3's and 2011 N55 cars blowing up.
Oh yeah uh 335is N54 (actually N54T) might be affected? That sucks.

Oh I've had it for a few weeks now! Absolutely love it, I was waiting on some new wheels before doing a photoshoot but here's a small picture I took to send to a friend!

How did you get CPO? Every dealer I visited said CPO doesn't apply anymore.

I was told if you want warranty you buy the warranty sepereatly.

Gotta say it's a good deal but I rather have the 335is

N55 sucks, been there done that. The N54 you have in the 335is is the best of the N54 (yes there is differences between model years), it is the same one that is found in the 1M.

Thanks yeah the 335is has the sligthly revised N54T motor. Hopefully some of the common issues happen less .

Just got my downpipes installed yesterday and wooooooow. It sounds so nice. Has that E46 M3 rasp. I think I'll love this car for long while
