Makes sense as its an early LCI, not something i'd picked up on. Need to up my game.

Not a big deal as all the buttons do the same thing!

Only thing I'd do to this really if I were you would be to do a complete OEM xenon retrofit!

This man is correct mine is an Lci but a 58 plate so one of the first to be built it came with the heated seat button at the bottom etc, The car has since had the new climate control with rest feature retro fitted.

Lovely car, I have an M3 Steering wheel in mine and its makes the car feel totally different.

As I alluded to earlier the Alpina B3 flash was next on the list, and that job was completed on Wednesday night….

I don’t know where to start I am literally over the moon with it!!

Every mode is now very different, starting with D I really like that you now have the gear number on the display. Driving in D is smooth and it goes through the gears really quickly without even noticing, funny I pulled away from the lights yesterday and before I knew it I was in 6th cruising and had to double take what gear it was in.

The sport and manual are where its really at though, the changes are much quicker and feel better with the rev matching. Combined with the M3 wheel its an absolute joy and I really think this will be the best thing I do to the car. I had a really good drive back through some country roads last night and it was literally like another car and definitely over the fact its not a manual.

Overall, really happy and when I bought the car had it in my mind that it would be essential to reach its potential. I can honestly say though, it has way exceeded my expectations!

A few little updates, headlights got updated with LED side lights and OSRAM H7 bulbs. Not xenons’ but will do the trick for the interim. Also fitted the smoked side repeaters which suit the black.

Next up was making a start on wrapping the interior trim to gloss black. Unfortunately a bit harder than I had hoped to get a perfect finish. Still looks a lot better! Thankfully a friend who is a lot better at it than me is going to help with the dash and center console.

A Pipercross panel filter made its way under the bonnet and a couple of little cosmetic changes picked up over the festive period will be on by the weekend hopefully just getting a bit of paint applied after successful trail fit last weekend.

Unfortunately still not pulled the trigger on the new wheels but I aim to do this by the end of the month. Its proving difficult getting it by the wife as I “promised” the car would stay standard until I had paid off the difference between the two cars.

Finally, went for a drive round the back of the local airport whilst the child was a sleep in the back. Plenty of great locations for a photoshoot when the bus is finished…

Liking the updates buddy. I tried wrapping the interior trims on the old E46. Was a lot more difficult than I thought LOL.

LOL at trying to get them past your wife. I have to be economic with the truth tbh.

A couple of eBay purchases came good...

Front splitters, ended up leaving gloss as matched the grilles and finish was really good out the box. Long term will hopefully colour code as i’d like to get the front end blown over.

Second purchase was a punt on a performance style diffuser. Fitment is actually pretty good and with a bit of satin black paint applied i’m really pleased. Looks a lot better than the standard one!

Today in preparation for some further new arrivals next week i gave it a good clean, clay and polish with poorboys black hole. Its come up pretty good but still a few bits which require a bit more work and will have to call in a mate or get a professional on the case.

Next update is going to be a good one!!

Thank you, it's coming along nicely!

Mileage is just over 90k, I had a long list of things I wanted but most of them went out the window with my search due to so few options on the cars themselves!

The first was manual, pan roof, xenons, heated seats, nav, uprated stereo and of course LCI.

Unfortunately I'm inpatient and this one was relatively close. I fell for the combo and convinced myself with the alpina flash and m3 wheel it would be up to the job.

They do come up it just depends how long you want to wait....

The first of two updates tonight, first gloss wrap on the interior trim.

I got a friend to do the main bits and I'm glad I did as he did a great job. It was cheaper film but finish is still pretty good. May still get him to do it with 3M but might wait for him to deal with the very recent birth of his second child first...

The second, the main one, it's new wheels time!

I spent a lot of time mulling it over and looking for inspiration but always came back round to a classic...

The Avant Garde M359!

I gave the car a little clean today and had an hour to myself so went and took some decent pictures!!

I'll let them do the talking!

I definitely think I made the right decision, so much for it staying standard
