help me decide which grille suits TiAg best

which grilles look best? I was set on all blacks but noticed that may be chromes look nice on TiAg too. now I'm leaning towards getting chromes from a member here. I like black grilles but they just don't seem to work too good on TiAg from some angles, no matter how I try to like them. What do others think?

I picked 2 member cars here - both look awesome so it's tough choice.

you might pull out some votes for chrome grill just because of a better photoshoped pic of chrome grill. In real life black look way better.

i think it depends on the overall style/look you're going for.

black is more tuner/sporty. chrome is more classy/OEM.

you know what i'd definately buy? the matte aluminum grille that's similar to what's on Z4 and X5 and so on. They should make something like this.

Trouble is in my town there isn't a single black grille on a car that i saw in person. And on tiag the chrome looks pretty good as you see the slats.

As for tuner not tuner look - I plan in future if all is well to get a set of gunmetal BBS LMs and a mild drop, but not much else like splitters, spoilers, etc.

It all depends on whether ur going for the blacked out look or not, my tiag has black grille but also my car is blacked out and alot of carbon fiber.

Sorry to borrow the thread a little (don't wanna start a new one). I've currently got fully chrome grills + chrome accents on my Electric Red 325i. Should I change to matte black grills or would it look weird with the chrome? Getting shadowlines isn't really in my book right now.

I would have to say that I would wait to see what color rim you put on the car. I think that if your running around town with just the blacked out grill it will look strange. Wheels are more expensive so base the kidneys off the wheels. Personally I love the dark rim with black kidneys on the TiAg! Been done a few times but who cares. Not a pro just my $0.02

How about body-colored painted grilles? I ordered mine through Bimmian for my TiAg and they look much better then the original chrome grilles.

Here's their link: http://www.bimmian.com/GRL/90

thaks for your feedback guys, you are making it a bit easier!

The wheels are going to be darker but not black. Thinking of LC Lemans hyberblack (which I understand from photos are gunmetal, someone can correct me).

You mean leave it as it is? Or don't do chrome?

I have a matte black window trim btw, so I think the match is there.
