I don't know, is it hard to change pads?

No it's actually really easy, basically as simple as pulling 2 front caliper bolts then slide you slide the caliper of the rotor pull out the pads clean everything with brake cleaner then put new pads in the calipers. Then slide back over the caliper, reinstall 2 bolts on caliper.

Rotors are very easy, when the calipers off you remove the one set screw that bolts to the hub then pull the rotor off the hub and reinstall the new one.

I had never solely done brakes on a car before, always had fathers help, I just followed the DIY on here and made sure and took my time. Fronts were about 2 hours total, rear were about an hour and a half.

Well Ian's was a bust not only did they schedule 3 cars before me for alignment but they couldn't even get my car on the rack, dissapointed to say the least. So the hunt continues for a rack I can get my car on. Any recommendations anyone?

Yes, easy. Look up the DIY.

I'm down to caravan.

have any of you guys installed new rotors that had a coating? Did you guys remove the coating before installing or left it on? I just replaced my rears with rotors that had some coating on them and now when i drive i get a smell of something burning. I also saw some smoke coming from the rotor because of the coating it had? Will this damage my brakes later on?

Smell and some smoke are nothing to worry about, just the coating being removed from the braking surface on the rotors. Mine was completely gone within a day of driving.

Bummed I can't join you guys this year for bimmerfest. My cousin is graduating from college and that's the bigger priority. You guys should meet up with the bigger 805/818 caravan -- looks like they're meeting in Woodland Hills/Calabasas area.

Ohhh ok, next time I'll try looking for you guys. I think I sold my stock exhaust to bdbahh but I didn't recognize him. No, I'm not part of Botak but I'm really close friends with Dan and Cung (team leaders) so I go to most of their big events like the BBQ's.

yea we were looking for you lol we asked couple people whos 335i that was but everybody said "idk". I don't think bdbahh has bought an exhaust because since i met him, he's been wanting to get aftermarket exhaust. Hopefully you guys can make it out on the 26th of this month. We already told Cung, just let your friends know bro. Itll be at ledbetter too.
