You need to be a retrofit company to buy from car systems. They are very hesitant to work with individuals.

are you sure that wheel should be from f10 ? not from f30/f15 ?

I am trying to strike a deal with the Ukrainians who make these boxes but they are very hard to deal with.

This is the only shop in the world that sells to the public and he has a healthy markup.

Thats not bad if it let me get that awesome new wheel installed the spline on the two wheels match up from what Ive seen others say.
This harness is some sort of little computer that translates the signals from the new buttons and changes the signals to match the e90?

It all runs on the CANBUS system, if one compares the wiring diagrams and pins for an E9X wheel and the F3X they're looking to swap, I think it should be fairly simple to do the conversion as long as the wheel itself physically bolts up fine to the steering column.

You'd likely need to rewire a few of the pins/plugs, but there's like a total of 12 in the clockspring anyways and I'd bet some are very similar.

Comparing the info on TIS should help decipher this.

This retrofit is possible and it has been done before. I can retrofit anything into anything given enough time and money.

I got time and money, to bad for me, you don't live closer
Looks like I am ordering the wheel from ebay for 650 with a dual stage airbag, they asked if I needed three connectors or two, all the pictures I looked at for e90 looked as though they had two connectors for the airbag
and one of these kits to 250 euro.

will the car need to be coded?

It is illegal to ship airbags without a hazmat certification. I do not believe coding is required as the steering wheel does not have a module in it.

F30 won’t physically fit on E9X steering column shaft, ask me how do I know that.

How do you think I do CIC retrofits for $600? I have connections. To the people I buy parts from a steering wheel is a steering wheel. It does not matter what car it came from they are all prices mostly the same.

thanks, good to know
because there are many wheels from f30 and f15 but f10 wheels are quite rare and pricier

I understand that you got some hook ups but for average people like me to get retrofit adapter for $250 & for only $350 complete M-sport f10 steering wheel with shifter pedals & air bag isn’t possible.

F15 may work but I’m not 100% sure...
You can probably fit F30 M-sport steering wheel but it’s not direct fit,you have to drill out bigger center hole and make new splines.
BTW I bought Air Bag from eBay & no problem what’s so ever.

f30 f25 f15 f16 have same steering wheel spline pattern on streering column
f10 f06 f07 have another steering wheel spline pattern on streering column

If ptpending said that the wheel fits then it fits. He is one of the few people who knows what he is talking about.
