think you are wrong, Mik ) For example if i copy/paste whole shiftmaps (described in xdf) from stage3 from xhp to original 2tb calibrations, then it didnt solve my problem of oftenen throttle lags, when i want to extremely accelerate from lower RPMs. And pay attention, that here we talk about pressing pedal without kick-down button, only fast pressing to values above 99%.

Which maps corrrespond to downshifting when need for fast acceleration on D from lower rpms?
For example when i smoothly drive on 3-rd gear on my 530d about 1300rpm and fast press throttle pedal to 100% then tranny didnt downshift to a 2 gear, and continued to slow acceleration from 3rd before turbo spinup.
Theese problem solved in xhp tunes. But present in original alpina software. I'm 100% know that it is not a shiftmaps. And seems that there is something not described in XDF, what i need.
Any suggestions? is it kickfast function?
Maybe it's due to the multiple maps. I ended up copying the same data to all of the D maps as I disliked the way it acted differently at different conditions.

There's also uphill maps which might be set wrong in alpina...

Who are you referring to with the banned one? DWR? He has teamed up with BRR tuning. DWR still does some research every now and then but the commercial side and flashing all goes through BRR. I'm not sure if they have a way to flash trannies yet. Mostly engine tunes.

Yes, but you have to go thru BRR to get it.

just after some advice on gearbox mapping , my M57 330d has been remapped and i thought i would treat it to a gearbox remap so purchased XHP flashtool and installed the stage 3 map ,car is great in sport or manual mode but in normal drive mode it's awful, really strange shifting and feels like it's slipping mainly in the lower gears second is the worst.
spoke to XHP and they said:

did your tuner fixed the engine map to the xHP flash ? As you are running with scaled torque values this will lead to strange cruising and shifting.

xHP uses 800NM as preset for stage 2 and 1000NM as preset for stage 3 so your tuner have no problems and no need to scale down the torque output of the engine.

He have to correct the load to torque values to the real engine output so if your engine is doing 650NM the DDE have to tell the TCU that this are 650NM more or less.

Its like tuning a manual transmission car where you dont care about torque limits sent to the transmission or given out by the DME/DDE.

from what i understand they are saying the map will have to be corrected by the tuner for it to work correctly, i've already paid for the remap tune on the car and the xhp software so don't really want to pay again for the tuner to try and get the car to shift properly.
don't know were to go with this is it possible resetting the gearbox adaptations might work.

if your tuner are shitmaker with nm scaling, then it's wrong way at all.
TCU can't properly recognize what torque come from engine, result - rough shifting

are you saying i've got a shit tune ?the tuner who did the work has one of the best reputations in the uk for tuning bmw diesels.
i don't really know enough to understand ,car shifts perfectly on standard bmw gearbox map, shifts great on stage 3 map in manual and sport it's just in normal drive on xhp map i have the problem.

Yes, that was my present to xHP. I kept flashing forth and back between the parts of the Alpina tune and my original flash until I found the bit. I can't find the emails anymore but I found a video that I made on Aug/25/2016 that showed the D1-D6 gear. I think I even posted the Address location in this thread. Look around that date.

On the 195 there's 2 choices. One shows the gear selected, the other shows the actual gear you're in.
I may have these mixed up, but from memory
0 off
1 show gear selected
2 show actual gear
1 and 2 might be switched, it's been a while!

Yep, you posted yr video at 58 page. But I've GKE215 A7603577.0da, so can I convert it to bin and remap in winols or is there any way to convert, remap for current gear display and convert back my .0da by myself (and correct checksums)? Unfortunattely bimmerlabs don't support gke215..

Hmm, so can I also change parts of my .0da with alpina .0da until I found which bit answer for showing current gear? Is it safe? I have voltage stabilizer and icom. So just in winmerge (for example) I need to check which bit's are different in .0da and replace them untill I figure it out? But what about checksums? Are they important?

Yes, it worked fine when I tried it. But it is important to correct all checksums and correct the signature check.

Have you any tutorial or something which help me to correct Checksums and signature check? I haven't found your post about which bit answer for gear info, so I've time before February and I want to experiment with it

Btw Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hi guys,

I see you have been all around this transmission remap and using Winols to find the way to do it.

I need your help, since I have swap by diff the final ratio is now different in my car and the Cruise Control is not working, so for what I have read in another topic a user manage to get his gear ratio remap for each gear in his DDE with Winols from a German tunner.

I need to do this in mine so I can have the Cruise Control working again, so I need to know which is the file where I can find this in Winols in order to change it to match my current gear ratio for each gear, mine is a N47 120d but I think the file should be the same.

Here is a picture sent by the user who had it done by the German Tunner:
