Thanks guys...
I will inspect the wiring loom when I next get chance probably the weekend and fully charge the battery to see if that gets rid of the under voltage error.

Can someone please take a pic and show me where the hall sensor is for the luggage separator.

That black and white pic in the Bentley manual makes no sense to me.

Also mines a European car so will it be driver side or passenger side ?

Is this it?

I've inspected the trunk wiring for breakage and it all seems fine.

I will have to get a multi meter and test for continuity all the cable ends.

How's your progress thus far? I'm having similar problems with my 2008 e93

Were you able to fix this issue? I am having the same problem on my 07 e93. Luckily my trunk has the key hole so I can still get in.
My problems started after my alternator/voltage regulator went and I got low/over voltage. Now after I replaced the alternator, voltage regulator, and battery this is the only issue I am having. I am also getting a clicking noise coming from battery area when I press the trunk release button.
Thanks!

Hi all, I was able to figure out the problem with my car. I was having the exact same issues as you and others( read my above post). The issue with the car was that there was an aftermarket convertible top controller installed inline the CTM. It was plugged directly into the ctm, and it functioned perfectly fine before but after I had electrical issues it mustve gotten fried and then interrupted the signal. I removed the module and no longer have the issue. Go check out your CTM and see if there are any things attached that look aftermarket!

Thanks for the update. I had to replace my motor. Included was a service (grease seals and mechanisms) I’ve had my roof down every day since the beginning of September 😅
