When buying a Carfax sub, you are only supposed to use it for yourself. Im also sure bimmerpost doest want to have a bad relationship with Carfax, or get sued for allowing their members to give out free Carfax's.

This was news to me too. I haven't needed a carfax for many years, and back then it seemed like 2 minutes after asking, people jumped to help.

I didn't mean any harm in asking and didn't know it was no good to do so.

Makes sense from the carfax business model side of things...especially in the prior years, probably 50%+ of reports were done by "friends"...lots of lost revenue.

Other stuff also came up on google about people using carfax stuff to clone/scam cars... that I don't understand, but whatever.
