Temporary Front License Plate Holder for e92 msport
Anyone just use 3M tape for a quick visit to the station? Don't want to get a tow hitch plate when I'm going to take it off immediately anyways. Pics?

You can also just use zip ties. That is what I did on my mom's car when I had to take my drivers license test a couple years back

You might want to get a tow hitch holder, just in case you get pulled over and get a fix it Tix, seems to happen in CA. Might be good to have one around.

yeah i actually got pulled over for tint (15%) and license plate, but it's just a fixit so i'm going to remove the tint and tape the license plate to the front and then ... immediately taking the license plate off and getting it tinted lighter maybe at 30%

I've 3m taped my front plate holder with my front plate on it so it looks natural. You can try that. Worked for me when I got my ticket signed off. Dont just 3m your plate to your car.

my neighbor just took his evo to an LA county signoff place and they sent him back home because his zip ties were not "permanently affixed to the vehicle". I think it depends if you get a jerk or not. The fool proof way to fake them out is to cut the tops off of the screws, tape them to the license holes and then 3m tape the plate to your bumper. so it looks drilled in.
oooooor just hope for someone who isnt a jerk about everything. edit: oh and bgr's idea about using the holder to make it look natural sounds good too |

I did the zip tie thing as well when i got ticketed. i drove it back to the station and made sure to park at the farthest spot available. When i went inside I made sure to find the most "healthy" looking cop and walked him outside and pointed at where my car was. He took one squint and signed off on it.

What do you guys think about velcro? I know you can pull it off easy but would you think it does the job??
