One final thing does this need frm 2 to work or will it work off frm 1?

Explanation here.
I can confirm that the latest version does as it won’t let me code it for this reason. But earlier versions did let me do a bit worrying really.

Is it normal that I can't remove the "BMW Disclaimer" on my Canadian 2009 E91?

I have the Carly Blu-tooth adapter and the pro software on my android phone and it works a treat - Have coded audible and visual for Alarm set and deactivation, set the angle eyes only as DRL also altered brightness of them. Used it to Force DPF regen with success and also re-set the service light for brake fluid on my dads car after changing it.

Works perfect on both my 2011 and my dads 2007 E90.

Makes me wonder why you can't load a stock map to the car via it :-) Not that I would, as I would get it on a rolling road and also get the EGR and DPF addressed at the same time - But these guys that come to the house with a laptop and charge £120 to re-map can't be doing much more than what a Carly user does. If anyone knows otherwise I'd love to hear about the process that these home visit guys run through.

Glad you made good use of the adapter however, a remap cannot be done over OBD. It's an ECU out job, I watched the guy do it with mine.

Also, £120 for a supposed remap is mega cheap, I'd be really wary of the work done for that..... Most remaps are around the £300 mark, more for live remaps.

I did crack this, I now have AE as DRL

I'm at my desk just now but I'll pop out to the car at lunch and note the settings down and post here.

Edit: Just to clarify, I have AE as DRL whilst the headlights are set to "AUTO". The AE's are on all the time and the headlights come on as expected when it gets darker. The AE's as DRL also function when the Headlight switch is set to "0".
I assume you have an FRM 2 or higher module ?

Key 3 - Active

DRL Customisation - Only Additional Lights (EU) - Active

High Beam - Off
Fogs - Off
Turn Signals - Off

DRL Angel Eyes - Active

Brightness - V-High (my preference, you can change to whatever suits you)

Sidemarker - Active

Now I'm not sure if the Sidemarker actually helped, I did try a couple of times without using it and I had no joy. Read a thread somewhere that suggested turning it on.

I hope that helps.

I have these settings done on my newly upgraded FRM2 and it works. However, my taillights are on as well and everything is disabled but angel eyes. Do you know how to fix this?

There is a setting for that as I do not have my rear lights on either but I've not been back into the settings since I did this, I'll have a look a bit later and come back to you.

Thanks. I have it to set US models because I'm in the US. For DRL, my angels are on and so are the bars in the taillights. However, it's just the outer taillights, not the trunk taillights. I'm really lost... I'm trying to turn the entire taillight off and no setting works. Maybe it's time I use NCSExpert to fix this.

I used Zeek to buy discounted iTunes vouchers and managed to get it for a few quid cheaper - you also get topcashback or quidco when you buy via Zeek so think I wriggled it down to £46 from £55 in the end.

Quick Question: Looking to purchase the Carly adapter and app - is the annual subscription the only option to get the app?

Anyone know of a way to get the old version and upgrade it for a new user?
