Smoke from engine bay and exhaust after doing downpipes. Please help!
I just bought my 2008 335xi a few weeks ago and last night i did cp-e catless downpipes AE exhaust and a jb 4 tuner. I noticed smoke coming from the engine bay and from the exhaust not sure what the issue is. I think it could be the turbo seals but not sure. The smoke only happens at idle and the car is not burning any oil. Please help!!

Typically most exhausts and downpipes are coated with a oil to prevent any sort of oxidation prior to customer installing. This way it maintains a healthy look when you open it out of the box. The smoke you are probably seeing are the oils applied to your DP's and Exhaust. It is nothing to worry about. Keep a eye on it though.

Residue that needs to be burned off or just smoke from going catless.
If you drive around & the smoke is still there once the engine's at normal operating temp (230-250), then you might wanna look into other possibilities (turbo seals, etc) |

Put on some miles and see if it goes away, it's likely residue from the manufacturing process of the exhaust components. Especially when doing mandrel bending.

I am still having the problem and am thinking about just putting the stock downpipes back on because i can't seem to figure this thing out. I am not burning any oil at all but yet it smells like burning oil and only happens at idle
