Early builds are more likely. It's the achilles heal of turbocharged E90s.

I'm getting fuel cuts as well, though my HPFP should be fine?

It's not a fuel cut from losing traction, but rather little mini cuts.

Has to be fuel delivery.

Not sure if you're running bef, but you can adjust fuel scalar and rail pressure homogen there. I'm running full tank e85 with maxed out turbo. I also got AEM meth just in case, however, logs before installing the meth were perfectly fine.

I have a 2011 135i with the N55 and I'm pretty sure my HPFP gave up last night.

Lol, had the same codes and symptoms, now I can't run a tune or go full throttle. Been getting worse and worse over the last few weeks/months.

If it helps at all, my issue isn't the HPFP. I replaced it and nothing changed. I'm pretty sure I have a leaking fuel injector.

Really? With multiple cylinders misfiring?

The original code showed multiple cylinders misfiring. When I cleared the codes and started the car again I only got one cylinder misfiring, even though I still had a code for "combustion misfiring, several cylinders" it only specifically calls out cylinder 5. I have new injectors on the way so I should know soon enough...

Guys, just checked my logs over the last few months, I've had misses, bad misses, but looking at the logs, no fueling issues, rail pressure has been staying at 2,000 - 2,500 during full throttle pulls consistently over the past few months. I had a local indie shop look at it and they said change plugs from the after market bosch (the ones I replaced in September) to the dealer plugs. I did that this last week and the car has never run smoother. Turned it up to MHD Stage 2+ with no issues, before it would misfire so hard it would cause the engine malfunction syndrome and limp mode, even on the PPK tune.

Which aftermarket Bosch plugs? I am about to put in Bosch ZR5TPP33S which I purchase from ECS Tuning. Are those the ones which you replaced?

My car has much of the same symptoms, and I am about to put those plugs in along with a new HPFP.

No, I had ordered those from FCP Euro and the car didn't like them once I tuned it. So I went back to Genuine BMW High Power Spark Plugs Stock Code 12120037582, they're like $19/ea from ECS Tuning and over $20 from the stealership but they are not the same as the cheap $10 ones from FCP Euro part No. BMW ZR5TPP33S Spark Plug - Bosch 0242145518. Some on this Forum have had success with those but not me. Some say there is no difference but let me tell you, the car runs so much smoother with them than the others. Worth the extra $$$ Just my opinion.

That is weird. You didnt mess with the gap on the Bosch plugs at all? Now im not sure whether to go through the trouble of installing them or just get plugs from the dealer.

I adjusted the gap of the plugs to .021 and still misfires. Swapped the dealer plugs in, ran any tune I wanted, runs like a top.
