Hey guys, I'm selling my rare Pre-LCI E91 wagon. I purchased a 6MT E61 wagon and don't have room for 2 wagons. I would love to keep the E91 and continue to work on it but I need to devote the time and money in getting the E61 ready so unfortunately this one has to go.

This is a very rare spec'd E91 with Barrique Rot exterior over Terra Dakota leather interior and a factory 6 speed manual transmission. There are only handful of E91's with Barrique Rot and Terra combination and only 1 with factory 6MT and sport package. The car also has premium package, cold weather package, navigation and comfort access. According to the production numbers, it is the only Pre-LCI built in this combination for NA market.

I purchased this car back in January of 2022 with 136,602 miles and have logged almost 24k trouble free miles. I didn't get any maintenance record from PO's but the Carfax has full service history from the beginning. I have logged all the service history in an excel file along with the work I have performed under my ownership.

Maintenance done under my ownership
136,902 – Oil Service,
137,678 - Oil filter housing gasket, blower motor, trans fluid, cabin filter and LED angle eyes
141,831 – Oil Service
145,553 – Front brake rotors, pads and sensors, Bosch spark plugs
149,643 – Oil Service
153,750 – Battery
155,253 - Oil Service
155,702 - Brake Fluid Flush
156,970 - PCV Recall
157,438 - Windshield replaced
158,670 - Mickey Mouse coolant flanged replaced with Aluminum flange.
159,340 - Rear wiper blade
159,624 - Oil Service
159,680 - Bilstein B4 shock, upper/lower shock mounts, bump stops
160,025 - Dunlop Sport Maxx 225/45/17 tires

Oil changes were done with Liqui Moly 5W30 and Mann Filter.

Have replaced the following
- Hood and Tailgate Struts
- Front and rear wiper Blades
- Cup Holders
- License plate holder
- Genuine Rear Hatch BMW emblem

List of modifications
- 17" BMW Style 194 M-Sport wheels (Square set-up)
- M sport steering wheel and trim
- ZHP shift knob
- LED Angles
- Original installed Poplar Wood trim replaced with genuine BMW Aluminum trim
- Matte Black Kidneys
- Red Start/Stop button.

Exterior -
Exterior show very well for a car with 160K miles. There are few scratches here and there and few minor ding/dents but nothing major. Most of it I'm sure can be buffed out with a good detail. The most notable issue on the exterior is the front bumper and the hood. Front bumper has a small crack on passenger side where it meets the fender and has few dents and scrapes. License plate holes drilled in the bumper are different sizes. Michigan doesn't require front plate but PO was in MN where they do and it hasn't been done properly. I have them covered with EU license plate. The hood used to have have a deep dent which I tried removing with PDR but was not very successful. It also has few small dents and few places where the PO used touchup paint but wasn't done properly. The right fender has a dent right on the top where it meets the hood. WAs able to remove most of it with PDR but still shows with the touchup paint on top of it. Another issue is a tiny bubble on the left fender and rear tailgate. I have been keeping an eye on it ever since I bought it and it has not grown in size. I regularly wash the car and wash the undercarriage and make sure to keep all the salt off the car. My commute to work is only 12 miles round trip and have a hybrid schedule so the car does not see a lot of winter time.

My plan was to replace the bumpers with an M-Sport bumpers and re-spray the hood and both the fenders and address the small bubble spots but plans have changed and I rather have the next owner decide what they want to do with it.

Interior -
Interior is in excellent condition for it's age and mileage. The leather is in excellent shape with no wear on the passenger and rear seats. The driver seat has little to no wear. No sagging of the headliner, just the A-pillar has some wrinkling where it meets the dash. The M-sport wheel trim has peeling in a small area and the rear ashtray area has peeling. ZHP knob is worn a bit but other than that, the interior is in excellent shape.

Known issues -
- CA and remote locking/unlocking stopped working recently and I have no time to diagnose the issue. It's probably something to do with the wiring in the hatch or the antenna in the rear spoiler which is very common in the wagons.

After the tire installation, I brought the car to alignment shop and found out that the right front strut might be bent.... thanks to Michigan roads. The rear is out but can be brought back within spec but the front one needs to be addressed. The tires have less than 500 miles and I don't drive it much so it will not see any uneven wear.

I like to be completely transparent and don't want any surprises for anyone. The car when I bought was in somewhat of a rough shape and I have given the attention I could give but unfortunately with 6 other BMW's including the the addition of the E61, I unfortunately cannot devote the time and attention she deserves. I'm hoping I can find the right caretaker who will take what I have started and finish it as we all know how rare these wagons are and we all know BMW is not going to make wagons anymore with 3 pedals.

I have 2 keys and a complete set of manuals and fully documented service history. Records of all the work done under my ownership is available.

As you all know these things are very hard to price so if you think my asking price is not reasonable, lmk. I'm a motivated seller and willing to work with right buyer.

Looking to get $13k out of it considering it's a pretty rare spec'd E91 and comes with fully documented service history. If there are any questions, please reach out to me and I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers

Beautiful car good luck with the sale. How does it drive compared to the manual e61? Did you get a 535? I have an e91 manual and am contemplating making the same move but am really curious to hear your driving impressions and how they compare.

Wow. Beautiful spec. If it wasn't AWD I'd be all over this.

Any underbody pics? Wondering if there's rust, especially for an AWD car with the steel subframes.

Thank you! It's a very unique combo. Get a lot of compliments. Attaching engine bay and undercarriage shots.

Thanks man! Bought a 535. I love both but E61 suits more for my needs than the E91. E61 is very comfy and plush ride and obviously a lot quicker. E91 is much more tossable because of it's size/weight. You can feel the weight of the E61 going through the turns. Took the car up north MI last weekend and definitely feel it in the turns. Manual E91's are rare but manual E61 are even more harder to find.

Thanks so much for the underbody pics! Any chance on pictures of the rust bubbles you mentioned on the hatch/fender? Also, do you still have the wood trim you removed, and would you be willing to include it with the car if so?

Picture of the small rust bubble on the driver fender and even smaller bubble on the tailgate. The wood trim was in pretty bad shape. The only piece which was decent was the center console and the ash tray cover which I saved and will come with the car.

thx

Yeah they are not bad at all and as I mentioned, they haven't gotten any bigger/worse in the time I've owned the car.

UPDATE: New radiator and upper radiator hose installed just last week ($560). Saw few drops of coolant on the garage floor. Found a small leak from the radiator. Replaced both.

Also had my mechanic check the front struts as the alignment shop (Firestone) said the front right strut could be bent and the mechanic couldn't find any issues with it.
