Belt noise

I get random belt noises but it doesnt come on all the time. My tech said it might be decoupler pulley but the alternator has been replaced. Is it a big issue to leave for long and I see people have had their belt sucked in. That is because the tensioner am I right? My tech also stated my belt is still on where its suppose to be on the tensioner.

Replace your belt, tensioner, and idler pulley. Also consider getting an aluminum power steering pump pulley. It'll cost you just a hair over $100 for all of that.

The aluminum pulley just to decrease chance of it failing? Or is there some other reason?

Didn’t know these existed TBH

I like to replace plastic with metal where I can if I'm in the neighborhood and the product is cheap. I recall on early 335's there was a subframe issue that could chip or crack the power steering pump pulley. When people needed to replace it they'd usually go with aluminum since they had to replace it anyway.
