£2,500 E93 325i 2007 Daily Driver - owner emigrating

Reluctant sale as I'm working overseas and my planned return to the UK has been postponed until the end of the year.

Mot until October, 1 advisory for a cut in the tyre sidewall (now replaced).

V5 logbook in my name is with the car, also some mots, receipts for service items, new starter motor since I got it etc.
Other work including cleaning the Vanos filters & soleniods I've done myself for my peace of mind.
The car has 3 previous owners, I've owned it since June 2017 and wouldn't be selling if I was still in the UK.

The small photo showing new wheels & the roof down was taken just a few hours before my flight, all others are from when I bought the car (looks very similar now apart from the different wheels),

The car has not been prepped for sale as I wasn't planning to sell it when I left it, I thought I'd to be back in the UK by now and driving it again for the Summer but plans have changed.

There are 3 dealer recall notices to be done when convienient :
main battery cable connection at rear of fusebox (this causes all electrics to stop working - has happened to me a couple of times, quick and easy to cure.)
Coil replacement (I've never noticed a problem), 1 other I can't remember.

Known issues for this daily driver convertible :
Regular abs warning lights, doesn't affect the driving but I'm assuming some ABS fault.
The original rear wheels were cracked so were replaced with staggered M3 rims (style 94 ?)
The roof has always worked fine but when parking the car after my last drive I put it up and got a warning light - no time to check as I had a flight to catch.
The boot linings near the battery have been loosened and moved so a friend can trickle-charge the battery while I'm not using the car.

Overall it's clean and tidy with a few niggles so either use it as-is or spend some time and end up with a very nice car.
A great car to drive, I'd be happy to jump in it and go anywhere, reluctant sale due to my extended overseas work.
The car, both sets of keys and V5 logbook etc are at a friends house 30 miles North of Cardiiff, near Gwernoggle.

Updated to say the V5 logbook is now present and with the car, just ask if any questions.

It goes without saying that now is an ideal time to grab a bargain convertible for summer

Price reduced as it seems a shame to leave it parked up for the summer while I'm working overseas.

Yes it's very cheap for a tidy mot'd E93, I'd like to keep it but realistically I'm not going to get the chance to use it before the end of the year.

Price is less than I've seen non-runners sell for on Ebay but as this is parked at a friends house I'd like a simple sale and don't want to ask my friend to deal with Ebay dreamers.

For anyone who is curious my hometown is in Northumberland like it says under my avatar so most of the photos are from around there - just like the advert says. I work away a lot (the beach photo in North Devon) and this year I'm working overseas. When I flew out I left the car parked at a mates place in South Wales as he gave me lift to Bristol Airport (the photo with the roof down).

I like driving the car so it has been to / through / past most of the counties in England and Wales at some point since I got it, apart from London and South East.

Just ask if any questions about the car, better yet turn up and view it, buy it, enjoy it - this is a sales advert after all

ps. thanks for the interest & the bump.

The benefits of a convertible: in the 4th pic posted you can see that you can get that massive wheel in the back of it... think of those IKEA trips!!

GLWTS!

Is this still available?

What's mileage like? Number of owners? FSH with all documentation available with your friend?

Also can you elaborate on the ABS error you encountered with the car, any particular codes?

Are you able to elaborate on the roof mechanism issue please? Any further info on it from your friend?

x77md Hi, yes the car is still available.

3 previous owners (I've had it since June 2017 and wouldn't be selling if I was still in the UK), mileage is approx 130k from memory, afraid this is not a fsh car, history is mainly unknown before I got it.

ABS. The car drives fine but often shows ABS warnings. No warnings for the first year I had the car, they got more common over time. Error codes were 5DF0 & 5DF1

Roof has always worked without problems until I was parking the car after my last uk drive, I had no time to do any checks so it could be as simple as a dirty fuse.
Salmon relays are a known common failure item and cheap to replace https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=40
Excellent video for DIY manually operating the roof https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...&postcount=837
workshop manual for the roof https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...74&postcount=2

Thanks for the interest. If you're looking for a showroom car with fsh this isn't for you, if you're looking for a tidy car that is being sold cheap with declared faults, it could be. Have fun either way, they're great cars !
