Ordering from BavAuto to Canada
I just got Bavarian Auto's 24LED's for $19 + $18 UPS shipping... the UPS customs fee was $22...
Just a heads up for anyone thinking about ordering

I have a connection for any types of LEDs. All the ones I import come with built in resistors and can-bus friendly. Your talking about the dome ones right? |

yea, bav auto ships by ups right ? anyone who gets stuff shipped by ups or fedex to canada always gets screwed over by the customs and brokerage fees.

at least in vancouver, you can always clear ur shipment urself and save the broker fee from UPS, just ask them for a form and go custom yourself, after clearing(paying duty/tax) and bring back the copy to UPS, grab ur stuff and leave. but i think theres a time limit, something like if the item has arrived/passed certain days, then you cant clear it urself.

UPS fees should be considered fraudulent. I recently self-cleared a UPS shipment from ECSTuning, saved about $100 (on a ~$700 order). It was easy.
I usually avoid using UPS at all costs but I missed it this time. Literally every other carrier I've used has been a better experience. |
