Door wont unlock!!
So i lock my car with my comfort access, and then go back cuz i left something in the car. So i hit the unlock button and nothing!!!
The car makes the ::beep::beep:: sound And then makes the ::beep:: sound when it locks but the doors dont lock or unlock! so now im stuck outside of my car So i hold down the unlock button, and all the windows roll down automatically. and now its mad ghetto cuz thats the only way in and out of my car. Anybody else have this happen to them?? |

It's probably a bad lock actuator that is blowing the fuse. For a temp fix, acccess the fuse panel behind the glove box and replace the blown fuse with one of the spares. This may even last for weeks but it will blow again. Get the actuator replaced under warranty. |

+1 Good luck and make sure the Tech checks the amperage for all your lock actuators including the fuel lid. I've had to have three lock actuators replaced including the fuel lid.

Just happened to me this week. Here's the real kicker... my tank is almost empty (on reserve) and you CANNOT PUT GAS IN THE CAR.

yes you can, the trunk should open independent of the doors, there's a little green pull on the inside of the trunk behind the panel, pull it and it will open your gas tank

I just returned from the dealership after the second blown actuator. I am going to get a few extra fuses for such an occurrence. What sucks is that the second time that it happened, my 1-year-old daughter was in the car seat in the backm and there is no way to open the rear doors. I have a sedan, so I could not get to the rear-facing child seat. Man, I looked ridiculous 'rescuing' her from the car. |

Well, you can temporarily (until you schedule your appointment because some dealerships need 3 - 4 weeks to give you an appointment if you need a loaner) fix it by replacing blown Fuse #57 (up to production date 09/2007) and this will let you open all four doors as well as use the remote rather than the hidden key.
Of course, getting to the fuse box without being able to open the passenger door may be a pain if you are a big person. |

Aaargh, it happened again today, while I was picking up 2 (TWO!) kids from day care. I had to get them in and out through the windows. My daughter above loved to be shuffled through the window, this time.

Last time they replaced a door actuator, and I think that they also replaced a fuel door actuator with another problem.
So, today was the THIRD time this has happened, and with two kids now, it is completely unacceptable. Quote:
