German factory closed for august?

My 335is is supposed to finish production august 30th yet people tell me that the german factory is closed in august and that they dont produce any cars in this month. can anyone explain this to me?

Mine is scheduled for October. When they calculated the time they also didn't count August, but they didn't say the factory closed. The idea I got was that the production in August was much reduced, but still existant.

i ordered my 2011 335i coupe...on the 26th of July. But last week my Dealer told me that car won't be in production until Sep because of shutdown.

yeah that's true..my dealer pushed me to order on july 15 so i'd have it by now and would get right in before they close

i was wondering about this too..ordered my car around july 25th and my build dates supposed to be week 36 which is the week of september 5th

-choyboy- my buddy used to be on the g37 nyc forum and i recognize your name...remember seeing pics of your infiniti with your light mod, it looked awesome

Yeah, mine was initially scheduled for Aug but was pushed to Sept due to closure.

On the bright side, you will get a September build car, which include a slighly updated idrive and ipod/iphone out system.

I was told that the factory where the 335iS is built is not closed for the entire month of August like many of the other factories are. I ordered a 335iS for Euro Delivery and had to push back my delivery date by a week due to the fact that it would have been built at the end of August and would not have had the September idrive upgrades.

my car wound up turning into something completely crazy after u saw the lights lol

He just browsed the forums and stuff there but wasn't into heavy modding. he had a blue g37s coupe then went to the audi scene where im big in but already started ordering parts for the bimmer
