Better call and ask.
I got my $500 BMWCCA rebate even after I collected $1840 on xi incentive.
but I agree call the number to check.

So I just spoke to BMW NA about this, and they said that as long as the time of sale is before Sept 30th then you are fine. He defined time of sale to mean when you actually sign the papers to order the car.

He also mentioned that since dealers are independently operated, they can amend the offer.

So I'm not sure who to believe, the dealer with the supposed bulletin indicating delivery must be taken, or BMW NA that just says the order must be placed.

Can we get a final answer? Would any CA's mind confirming this with BMW NA?

This is really the determining factor for me in ordering.

Thanks!
I called them up, and they say the same exact thing.
Going to check with my dealer.

I have got absolutely NO paperwork other than signing a dealership authorization form to order the car with some given specs.

No work on BMWFS papers or so, which would mention the deal, require signatures or so. BMWNA representative told, you should see the hard copy, and once it is applied at the time of placing the order, you should be fine. Delivery can be later!

Still no clarity on my side afa paper work goes.

how is the $1000 credit applied? Is it used and taxed as cap-cost reduction or do you simply use it to "pay" for your drive-off fees?

If you have the email, it says not applicable on drive off and TTL.

It has to come as a cap cost reduction if you are leasing, or just subtract from the selling price of the car, if financing/buying.

"Time of Sale" and "Time of Order" are different, on a PCD delivery you can't pay but so far in advance because you'll start paying for a lease on a car not in your posession which would be bad.

Hello all,
First time poster!
I have been following this thread in lurker mode because I am in the same boat. I ordered a BMW but cannot use my voucher because my car will not be DELIVERED to me by Sept. 30th. I thought I had to purchase by Sept 30th! Long story short, I called up BMWNA today (8/31) to complain about the misinformation regarding the terms of the offer. BMWNA told me the offer deadline is now extended to 10/31, and for my dealer to call them for the details. (I guess word is still getting out to the dealers about the deadline extension). Apparently enough people had issues with this that BMWNA took action!

Good thread,
Thanks All

There is talk on other BMW forums that this 'may' be extended to 31st October, 2010. Or has been already, people are trying to get confirmation! Could turn out either way.

Edit: Lobotomy, just saw what you posted. That is precisely what I am hearing on the other forum. I will try to get hold of a bulletin from my dealer. Else we will know soon enough This is great news! Unless we have it in writing, dealers don't seem to do much about it

ChoyBoy! Congrats on the new car. Where are the pictures?
