% Difference for OEM 18" M3 Wheels
when you plug these numbers into the magic tirerack calculator
M-style alloy wheels (Style 219M),18 x 8.5 front, 18 x 9.5 rear; 245/40 front and 265/40 rear performance tires it yields a >2% difference. Does anyone know why the "less than 1%" aspirational rule does not apply to the m3? also aside from the offset/rubbing issue, what could I expect from running these tires sizes on an e90 335i? |

The M3 uses different tire sizes becasue its wheel well depth and suspension dimensions are different from their E90/2/3 counterparts.
