lci e90 rear hub/real oem nightmare
hoping someone could shed some light on an issue please.
I have a friends 09 e90 325d LCI on my ramp at the moment to do a rear wheel bearing now its obviously been clapped out for some time as i cant get the drive shaft out the hub. and in trying i have snapped one of the cast arms off the wheel carrier! now trying to find a direct replacement is being a bit of a nightmare. i cant find a car like for like match any where other than main dealer at over 500 pound so im left with breakers and internet bays! im trying to find other vehicles being broken that i might be able to get one off. isuue i have is that i know the lci is slightly different from non lci as in cambers and tow are different . when i go on real oem which i use alot for e30`s ect it gives a different part number but under it says ((For vehicles with Chassis, officials utility vehicle)) this states the same part number i am looking for but i cannot find what this means. it looks like if i can find out what this means any e90/91 lci 20d and above would use this hub carrier. anybody got 5 minutes to explain what is going on. Many thanks Tony |

left rear hub/wheel carrier pn 33326783667. i cannot believe how hard it is to find this part used, as it is fitted to so many e90/1 vehicles i`ve been at my desk all day and made 161 phone calls. it`s crazy.

Are you sure the current one can't be repaired? Do you have photos to hand? |

Hmm I wonder if the part number changed in the catalog. If you look, a lot of 2010 e90 use PN 6783665 which is not included in the latest catalog but is qualified for LCI vehicles. There are plenty of those about aswell,
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F122908775861 I'd call BMW and double check but I've seen that part number on an LCI 320d and and LCI 330i... It's possibly a good match for you. |

You are better off calling a Big breaker like West Midlands Bmw spares rather than Bmw. Last time I changed a rear hub I got one from them ( upper arm had snapped off) think it was £75 and it came with the arms and drive shaft so was easy to swop ! Bmw main dealer will not help much and real oem is not ideal for parts like this it lacks detail.

What he said. Is there a number stamped on your casting? Used to happen with Audi all the time, a number would be printed on the part, then the part number would be changed in the catalogue and so the two dont correlate. There are many on Ebay stamped '6783665' which doesn't come up on the BMW catalogue, so it may be the part you need? |
