Well, I just ordered two cameras off Deal Extreme...$52 each. (I love that site...except it takes forever to receive anything).

This is my girlfriend's friend that is in the video. I was just going to spread the kind of thing that is happening now for heads up so we can take caution. From what I know the cop didn't do anything about it. The video was later sent to the insurance company to prove he was 0% at fault. I don't think the video was actually shown to the cop. But the insurance will probably increase to the guy in the Acura since hes 100% at fault now and his insurance company might wonder what hes trying to pull off. I am not sure what camera he uses but I am going to get myself this (once I figure out where to get it for cheaper) http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Aiptek-X...item4160482573

Uses SD card and will overwrite when its full. Happens to have a very good night time recording which I do most.

OP: I had the same thing happen to me on Highway 7 and Islington. Older gentlemen in a manual car rolled into me after stalling and claimed I rear ended him. Luckily, the car beside me stopped and gave me his information as a witness! Will definitely get myself a camera! Thanks

We should organize a group buy. With all the money we spend modifying our cars, $50 is cheap insurance against scam artists like this. Anyone know of any really good cameras that don't attract attention when parked (ie small/concealable behind the rearview or something)

Anybody know if there are any legal implications that people should be aware of before putting in a dash cam in Ontario? Similar to how stores / businesses are suppose to indicate somewhere that cameras are in use when entering the premises to appease privacy laws.
