Eibach Sportsline on E90

As title suggests, Eibach sportsline springs are going on my car this afternoon.

Most of people on this forum opted Eibach pro kit, and nobody took the plunge to try Sportsline springs. I thought, I will give it a go.

For your reference, I have M sports suspension.

Here are Eibach Springs

My car before lowering

Waiting to get it done asap.

I will post some photos, once it is done.

45-50mm on the front
and 35mm on the rear

That is for SE. I have spoken to Eibach UK and they could not give figures for M sports.

I am expecting anywhere 30-40mm at front
and 20mm at rears.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good choice but they work better with dedicated shocks. I dont think your m-sport ones last long, but I 've seen on german forum people use them with same setup.Try it ,cant wait for pics. My choice is H&R kit or same like yours.

I've had sportline on for a year, covered about 25,000, shocks still hanging in there. Mine actually dropped more at the back, msport, dropped 30mm at the back and 20mm at the front.

@spodoinklehorse
Glad to hear that another fella has same setup.

Ok guys my local garage started at it 16:30 and finished at 19:00. Nice chap but does not like rushing and hence took that time.

It is too dark now and can't take photos of actual car. I will post photos in 2 weeks times and mini review.

For the time being, please see these photos to see difference.

Rear Springs:

By the look of it, it seems like a coil less.

Fornt Springs

About 1 - 1.5 coil less.

What can I say about these?

Simply WOW factor. Cannot be more happier. Exactly what I wanted.
Quick Review: Car sat down brilliantly. My current setup is 19s Alufelgens with Falken 452.
At fornt there is about 20 mm gap left now b/w wheel arches and rubber. Previously it was about 50 mm gap.
At rears there was 20 mm gap previously and now it is 10mm.

So instant drop on 320i
Front: 30 mm
Rear: 10mm

In terms of driving, I am very happy as these are more comfortable compared to M sprorts suspension. Here are few things which I noticed;

1- First noticeable thing was lack of 'Springy' feeling which I had on M sports. No more such uncomfortable springy feelings. Even on harsh road, car runs smoothly.
2- No lateral rolling or feeling of car moving lateraly.
3- No tilting when cornering sharply.

Springs will take two weeks to settle and at that stage, I will post few photos.

In nutshell, drop is like H&R at no compromise of comfort. Very happy with the results so far.

After negotiating and re-negotiating with ECP and nothing except failure, I bought these from fleabay. Arrived directly from Eibach with life time warranty. Cost: £174.26.

After a bit of reading about. Am I right in saying the sportline drops more than the pro kit?

Also if you don't mindset asking how much was the fitting costs?

I don't think the Sportlines are available for the heavier engined cars -
325/330/335d's nor the 335i.

It drops more that pro kit, but these springs are only available for 320i/d if I am not wrong.

I paid £120 to get springs changed. Plus side was, I stood on their heads and watched whole procedure.

Sorry mate, here are few photos:

BEFORE:

AFTER:

Quick pros and cons:

Pros:
1- Very good grip on the road, and stability is fantastic.
2- It looks far better than standard car.
3- I am not hitting kebs in car park or speed bumps, so this is optimal settings for my car.
4- No M sports springy feeling on 19s.
5- On motorway / high speed, it sticks to road.

Cons:
I am getting weird noise only when I go down from speed bumps and my speed > 20MPH.
Sound is like shocks are reaching their limit (inner range) and pressure is going on bump stops. My mate has driven this on speed bump (while I watched) and I can confirm that wheels are not touching wheel arches, and it is down to shocks / bump stops.
I am not sure what is happening down there, but I will get this checked by professionals in few months.

I have always been careful on speed bumps, and now I have to be Extra careful.

If somebody else is thinking of doing this, I would suggest to go with bigger bump stops. (bit of research and bump stops from 5/7 or X series).

I am happy with the results. If I were to give feedback to Eibach, I would suggest them to raise all four springs about 8-10 mm.

Oh yes, another thing.
I have added M stripes on my car. Before any of you take photos of my car and add it to clownage section, I am volunteering myself.

Here are few photos:
