Thats cool got you, I only have CPO and I doubt they would cover shocks unless they update their system with a TSB or something. they already told me that since CPO doesnt cover wear and tear items, they would Not cover items like shocks, springs, bushings, etc..

But I will bring it up at my next appt with them to see if they can at least inspect it to see if they find anything wrong.

The tech told me he inspected the whole front end and only found bushings bad, which I had to pay for out of pocket.

I have 62,500 miles on my ride.

Update, for anyone with a CPO vehicle, I called earlier today to tell them my clunk is back and they said that they will lube the new bushings for free if I bring it in, BUT if it is needing NEW shocks or other suspension parts that my CPO will NOT cover anything. So the labor and parts would be out of pocket and the SA guestimatted my 325xi to be around $1300 for everything give or take a couple hundred.

For that much I will leave it as is.

For the record when they lubed my new bushings it didn't make any difference at all.

If it were me I'd pay the $1300 and get the front end totally redone. The noise was way too annoying.

just my luck....when I have booked a service appointment with parkview, to look at the noise..the weather is warming up..

I am not hearing the noise as much now as when it was cold outside...

What is a good way to demonstrate the problem in warm weather?

I've been trying to go over different size of humps/bumps.....to see which ones cause the most noise...Its definitely less noticeable in warm weather.

Take the manager across the street to Sunnybrook Park, they have speed bumps over there (at least I think they do). Speed bumps were are sure fire way to replicate the sound for me.

Well an update on my service at parkview..

They replaced the bushings(left and right) no questions asked....Looked like 2 black plastic housings..

Haven't done too much testing of it...but seems to be less noise now...

So I brought my car in for a few things, and it's all looking good from the call I just had with the SA. I had the same "crunching" sound from my Pass Front side over high compression low speed "bumps" l like speed humps (the big rolling ones). He stated they're replacing the front bushings, but didn't get into any real detail. They've had my car since Thurs, didn't even get it into the shop until either late Friday, or early this morning. That's ok, because I had arranged for a loaner, and they gave me a brand new e93 convertible! So I've been putting the miles on their car, with the top down!

Update....
With the new bushings, this past week i drove my car over the usual bumps were giving my car problems in the past.

The results were amazing, the usual creaking noise was gone...lets see how long it'll last

It's the cold weather. Every winter when it's real cold out my car suffers from the same thing.

I'm convinced the OEM sway bar bushings are crap when they get cold.
