Golf ball size hail rained down on Richmond Hill this afternoon. Piles of white mothball like stuff on the ground everywhere you look, even after one whole hour!

What's up guys? I saw a thread yesterday and I tried finding it this morning about someone being rear-ended by a taxi driver in Toronto. At the bottom of the thread, admin made a comment about toning down the stereotypes, etc.

I would like to say that for those who were making ignorant comments should be ashamed of themselves especially if you live in a city like Toronto. I didn't get to the thread on time to read any specific comments but I was surprised to see that people on this board would go so low to generalize a certain race or profession. We live in a city with millions of cars on the road and accidents do happen - and someone is held liable for the cause. It's a shame that you would be so ignorant to generalize a certain race or a profession. Do people in your country or your parent’s country not cause accidents? I’m very surprised about how low some member jumped on the thread and showed their true colours. Your comments are most welcome.

The thread your looking for is HERE.

I'm not really siding with anyone here. I believe that stereotypes can be harmful and racist, but that doesn't mean that they aren't true. Stereotypes must come from somewhere. Many taxi drivers are of South Asian descent, and simple stats/probability show that if you are hit by a taxi, there is a high chance that the driver is South Asian. This is not to say that all South Asians are taxi drivers or vise versa!!! This isn't limited to South Asian people. It is the same with Koreans (like me!). If you see a Pontiac Montana, chances are that the person is a Korean convenience store owner. As long as no one is stereotyping people in a negative manner, there is nothing wrong with stating simple mathematics.

The iPhone camera takes much better pictures but I am sticking to my Blackberry Curve. Can't type nearly as quickly on an iPhone becasue of the touchscreen.
