Unfortunately, there isn't a way to find out this information. It's a unique AccessPORT to ECU communication...that I'll leave for the engineers.

By all means, if you're near one of our retail facilities (Portland, Austin, Plano, or SoCal) please come on by and we can check to see if things work. If not, we can easily upload the ROM over to the engineers and they'll get to work on that to make sure you're fully supported. (I see your location is NJ...I really wish I could better assist you...I'm here for help though! And I'll be more than happy to guide you through the process)

Our retail shops would be able to tune the upgraded turbos, as well as any other car with modifications that exceed the initial "OTS" maps that are currently available. So simply put, yes.

Although not supported with our Stage 1 "OTS" maps available, your particular setup would be similar towards a "Stage 3" if I were to label them. However, a custom tune approach would be highly recommended as we can also tinker with the methanol support if need me.

I'm sorry, all the responses while I was responses it must have gotten lost on me. I don't know when the EDM market will be covered. I'm assuming with this press release, some tuners/end-users will probably get in contact with us and we can add them to our field testers? This is all speculation on my end...

Wow just like that everything changes in the world of N54 tunes!

Does Cobb guarantee dealer invisibility after flashing back to stock?

Is "stock" really the same exact stock state that BMW created not just a stock like map? In other words if BMW hooks up my ecu they wouldn't be able to detect anything changed before.

Does this vin lock the AP to one car at a time but allows the user to still sell it after uninstalling the AP ? Is there a limit to this?

Will there be additional charge for future OTS s2 and s3 maps when they come out?

Also, when do you expect stage 2 to be ready?

Thanks!

If the AccessPORT is completely uninstalled from your vehicle, then yes, your original factory-installed map is back on there and there are no traces of the AccessPORT's existence.

We do recommend that if you're taking the car in for service, to UNINSTALL the AccessPORT prior to taking it to the dealership. Then ReInstalling when you get the car back.

With all AccessPORTs, once installed to a vehicle, it will stay "married" to it until you decide to un-marry the AccessPORT from that vehicle. I'm sure I can say that we have a better track record than celebrity couples.

I'm not sure about how the OTS Stg 2+ maps will be handled, but expect something similar to how the rest of our OTS maps are currently handled in our map database. (readily available for download)

Yeah, we are doing what we can and doing it as quickly as we can to get support out for those with the 'xi' We're hoping now that the word is out, more beta test vehicles will show and allow us the time needed to finish up what we have to finish up!

Just curious about this, but why are the hp figures for this tune so much lower than the other tunes while the tq numbers seem to be on par? I'm not super familiar with tuning or dyno graphs really, hence my noobish question

Essentially, Stage 1 is intended for stock/unmodified vehicles. If running a catback, that's okay as we've tested it and it did not affect the way the car behaved.

I would anticipate a Stage 2 hardware requirement to be a turboback exhaust, mainly a modification to the downpipes.
