I have the 034 engine and trans mounts and have no issues to report whatsoever. Going on four months now.

Why does corteco have 2 different mounts. On ECS I see a mount that says it fits both right and left for $46.99 each. But there is also a right mount only that is $124.70. The right only looks like it has some kind of heat shield. https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E90-33.../engine_mount/

So I went ahead and installed oem bmw engine mounts and trans mounts on my e90 n54 auto trans. They found the passenger mount rubber was just wobbling back and forth. Possibly broken. I didn't want to spend $600+ for the is mount. The car feels solid and amazing now. Wow, it really feels like I picked up a good amount of horsepower and torque. The left one was fine after 140k miles. Not sure when the mount went bad. Hopefully, it'll stay stiff for at least another 50k miles. I am tuned though.

That's right! Lol!
Initial take off from a stop and from a roll is spot on snappy! The launch or thrust is more instant. Its pretty typical for a really bad motor mount to cause the engines power to not transmit to the drive train properly. I didnt expect any difference. It just surprised me. The front end feels so much better too. Before the mounts install, my car was shifting from 3rd to 4th gear really hard when wide open throttle. It was causing drive train to take a beating from front to rear. Shifts are more insulated now. I just installed the guibo a few days ago. Had a minor crack in it. |

My car is 170k, how should I check if I need engine mounts?
I'm guessing I need them, as I doubt they have ever been done. My car rattles a bit like an untamed dragon at idle. |

Buy OEM or if you want an upgrade the revshift 80A seem to be the best. 034 MM are SHIT. You can have my old ones with 1000 miles on them for free, just pay shipping. If you want to DIY you can inject a bunch of 3M windowweld in each MM and wait for it to dry then reinstall like the video above. Weak MM can cause catastrophic engine failure with the pulley(plastic) shattering and the belt being ingested past the front main seal and generally F'ing up your engine. This will happen at speed after a bump, you have no way of knowing if it is happening. Best fix is strong aftermarket MM. You can also knotch the sub frame so it can't touch but that is more work and aftermarket MM will be an upgrade which is what most people do.

In my opinion, yes. You can have mine, pay shipping. 1k miles on them.
Just buy OEM if that is what you want, upgraded revshift seem to be the best upgraded MM unless you want 100% solid(race car).

Can you expand on this? I'm looking to replace engine and transmission mounts with something just a tad firmer than stock. The 034s seem like the best value. Did you experience issues?

Revshift 80a motor mounts ftw. The 034 also sat lower which made my single turbo install take another week + F 034. ECS knows there is a systemic issue hence them honoring my return 1.5 years later after I ran them for 3 months tops. My buddy also had his return granted. Edit: I went with the rogue engineering transmission mounts and have been happy with them and the ssk short throw shifter. Last edited by Torgus; 07-08-2019 at 09:28 PM.. |

Anyone know why the passenger motor mounts are so much more than the driver's side mounts? Also, are some mounts interchangeable between driver and passenger side? Everywhere lists the mounts as side specific, but the video above says that the engine mounts he purchased were interchangeable.

The rev shift comes with a cover for the passenger side mount to block heat. Both of them looked identical to me. I don't remember having to install them on the 'right' side but installed them over a year ago. I vote revshift over rogue but I am sure the rogue is decent, just not as firm.
