Vibration after coming off the accelerator

So yesterday the pads were due a replacement. I initially started with the rears, in which was impossible to remove the T45 Guide pins (or whatever there called) on the callipers. To my surprise the actual calliper could move when moving it with my hand. Which surely isn't right. On closer inspection it seems that the pin is cross threaded as it was not screwed in properly. So I decided to leave the rears and book a ramp where I can get the breaker bar on the bolt. I then changed the front pads over, al was good. I took it for a drive around the road and seemed fine.

Today on the way back from the shop I noticed an awful low noise and vibration when coming off the accelerator and when braking. However not when accelerating.

It could very likely be the calliper or online states similar symptoms are caused by leaky cv joint.

Any ideas, ? thanks

Is the vibration coming through the steering wheel or the seat? That'll tell you which end the problem is.

It sounds like you're talking about the slide pins which allow the caliper to float. You don't need to remove them to get the caliper off but it can be a good idea to replace them if they're pitted or blackened.
I recently replaced mine- I had to use an extension to get the force necessary. After 117000 miles mine were actually slightly curved!

It sounds like yours are in good shape if you can move the caliper freely, as that's what the slide pins are there to do.

To get the caliper off you just need to remove the caliper hanger IIRC these are two 16mm bolts.
