Is that the MeWant cover? Looks pretty good. Real leather, or faux? How does it feel?

Yea it’s the $26 fake version. I was going to stitch is the way the factory wheels are done but I really wanted to get it as tight as possible so it’s not quite as pretty as it could be. I love the feel over the stock wheel. Keeping my heated wheel was a must!

Got the LMs on after a 2 month rebuild and installed custom replacement gauge faces on the M3 now too. Loving the splash of colour it both inside and out!

Never seen this thread as I'm always in the Australia section.

Anyway Installed a proper intercooler! Plazmaman tube and fin 1000hp rated (Australian dyno 1000hp = 1200hp dynojet)
No more bar and plate for me Plazmaman for me.
Ive had this car since 2013 and had a few intercoolers. godspeed ebay style, atm, ade engineering now this one which is the best I reckon.

Before you laugh at the "large fin gaps" these are plazmaman tube and fin intercoolers. This brand is used on a lot fast drag and circuit cars. You might not of heard of them in the USA but in Australia they are on all the fast drag cars, 6 sec gtrs for example, all the high horsepower RB,2JZ and LS engines are using these, they are the real deal. They make 200hp plus intercoolers for example. If you want the best look into getting one of there intercoolers.

I've done a lot in the last 24 hours and I'm continuing on more:'
1. Completely cleaned every last bit of "stuff" out of the car and semi-detailed it (the lazy man's detail).
2. Organized all that stuff into categories, in particular the box of BMW parts taken off or waiting to be put on the car, and put them together in the order they're going on.
3. Raised the rear of my car ~1/2" to give it a better stance and hopefully a little rake. The car was basically flat/parallel to the ground before that. I have H&R coilovers.
4. Sprayed lithium grease on all of the exposed rubber dampers (such as on my custom camber and toe arms), sway bar end links, and anything else that looked like it needed it.
5. Redid the rear alignment to the correct specs for the increased ride height. I do my own alignments, which is a very long, exhausting process the first time you do it, but it gets much easier after that. I have a set of custom control arms in the rear to control the camber and toe, which were necessary when going with coilovers since the stock ones were too long and you couldn't adjust the camber or toe enough.
6. Repacked my tool box I carry in the car, which is an old steel ammo can. I've been carrying a complete mechanic's set for about a year now due to all of the mods and repairs I've been doing, but now it's time to go back to the old faithful ammo can. I've found if you can't fix it roadside with the tools you can fit in an ammo can, then the problem is almost certainly something that's going to require work in a driveway or at a shop.
7. Put on a new set of tires.
8. Tested my lights to see why I keep getting a front right and also a front left parking lamp malfunction message even though they work fine. Now my driver's side brake light is doing the same thing, and it also works perfectly. My testing yielded no results.
9. Added a quart of oil.
10. Added 1-2 cups of coolant. I'm not sure if I have a very small, slow coolant leak somewhere. Every 2-3 months so far this year I get a low coolant warning light, but before that it only happened very rarely, especially after I replaced the bung and tubing from the driver's side radiator hose to the overflow tank with a brand new set of custom fittings/hose. If anybody is interested in how I did this, I'll be happy to post instructions. It didn't require taking apart any part of the cooling system other than removing the old overflow hose and fittings, nor did I have to add any coolant when I was done or for at least 6 months afterwards.
11. Replaced the battery, reset the ECU to the new battery amperage (I have a Foxwell tool so I can do everything the dealer normally charges you at least a couple of hundred bucks for.

I know I'm forgetting something, but it's been a busy 24 hours!

My propshaft had started to bang recently and I finally fixed it today. New flex discs and centre support bearing fitted. Both heat shields covering the propshat replaced with brand new shinny ones. Also replaced driver side front wheel cover plate as it was lose due to corrosion around a couple of bolts. And sprayed some Waxoyl on rusty body areas around the subframe. Will do some better rust proofing in the future when the subframe and fuel tank are off.

Changed the rear differential oil with RedLine 75w90. The pump pictured made it super easy.
