Yeah, from my daily reading here , its what I've noticed.

I don't know actually, its there since the previous owner.

I'll change it next winter, in about 3-4 weeks I'm getting out the summer .

Hopefully, it will last until then , so the alternator

Met Steve Dinan and had tires re-mounted and re-balanced at his Carbahn shop in Mountain View. Great guy! Full road-force balance has this car feeling so much smoother. A bit unbelievable.

Back story:
Tires needed to be rebalanced due to crappy shop that mounted them 20k miles ago. They left the original wheel weights on and just slapped more on. The original weights finally started falling off, which lead to terrible vibrations in the past week. Most wheels were +/- 70 grams off. Ugh, not going back to Wheel Works in SF. avoid!

I have always wanted to meet him. My e36 is a Dinan S1 car. It was sold new as a Dinan M3.

Installed Logic 7 speakers all around. The passenger mid/tweeter were crackling and a full E90 L7 came up for sale locally super cheap so went for it.

And now I wait for a used audio Tech Fischer DSP. yay.

Ah! Nice E36, especially in Alpine. He was literally working the phones and the check-in desk. Super down to earth and was happy to show me the dent in my wheel and walk through options. What a champ!

I had a cosmo schwartz E36 that sadly met its demise too soon. Those cars have really appreciated lately. Great cars. I loved auto crossing mine.

I didn't mind grey until after some miles and now it looks like trash. Mostly, the carpet I mean.

What are you using to clean it with? Steam cleaner?

foaming carpet cleaner.

it dissolves all the things, you let it dry and then extract it all with hot water and the carpet machine.

it's easy to see where the spots were because that's where the machine pulls up nasty water.

Helped a friend dehaze his headlights, installed "new" trunk struts. It's a little less painful to look at now

to be honest I've never really had a preference.
I buy whatever is on sale at the parts store.

this go around it's oxiclean foaming turtle wax whatever.

and I had finished up a bottle of west coast customs carpet cleaner that was surprisingly good. if I see it on sale again I'll buy a bunch.

there's still a few faint spots that will need another go, but I don't like getting it sopping wet.

I did get the rear seat carpet cleaned and the rear seats cleaned and conditioned.
so for the most part the whole interior is looking fresh.
I need to clean the door cards and glass.

That's why I went two tone with the gray and black.

Whoever owned this car before DESTROYED the carpets. I am sure I could have gotten them quite clean, but black looks MUCH better.

It helps when your friend had a parts car.

Should be finishing most of it this weekend. I have 3 different trims, so I am wrapping one in forged carbon. Might paint the other one.

Also got a steering wheel wrap and red start / stop / wheel logo.

Little extra camber to the rear went to -2.2 still rub a little on big dips, might have to roll the fenders a bit to fully clear the 255/35

Cheers!

What suspension are you running? I have tons of clearance at -1 degree camber. I am running BMW performance suspension and F80 style 640M wheels. They are 18x9 in the rear but I don't remember the offset at the moment.

I finally got around to installing my front F30 BMW performance brakes. Need to find time to mount the rears and the M3 master cylinder. Those dimpled and slotted rotors sure to make some interesting noises.

Bilstein b12 pro kit, 18x9.5 et 23 and achillies atr sport 2 (255/35). I also think these stupid tires run big, But they are cheap and good have ran them for 5 years on other set of wheels without problems so I went with them again.
