Question for everyone who has done this sucessfully. I've had mine on my car for a few thousand miles. When I have it closed (power going to the solenoid) there is a faint electrical hum/noise. Has anyone else experienced this? I have tried 2 different types of wireless relays and it is not the wireless relay. If I supply 12v and ground from the battery directly to the solenoid I still hear the noise. Is this normal?

Were you able to keep the valve closed past 3000 rpm?

This does work successfully. If you want it to always be closed and open only on command you just need the right relay set up. I actually have made about 5 of these for people who were interested in them. Mine is always closed when I start the car no matter what, until I click to open. I have also been able to have it open all the time and be able to close on command. You can get this to work either way. The major issue I am running into is "frequency noise". It is coming from the solenoid that controls the valve. I am not sure if it is just mine that is at fault or if others are having the same issue.
I am considering starting to sell them. |

Can someone please post the original pictures and wiring diagrams if they have them? I want to do this but this thread is of much less value without the pictures and diagrams.

Hey guys. It is tough to make a distinct wiring diagram because there are so many ways to do it, plus there are so many different types of relays that can be used. I have a few of these made in different forms if people are looking to purchase. I don't think cost is significantly higher than what it would cost you in parts and time. Feel free to message me.

Hey guys I just finished mine up last week and it works great. Here's a crappy diagram of how you should wire it up. Every relay is different when it comes to the positioning of the terminals so wire it per how your terminals are labeled. You can also buy a EV1 extension cable off amazon for $9.99 with plenty of wire btw. Look this up "MotorWest Performance C122 - EV1 Female to EV1 Male 24 inch Extender"
If it does not cut on, make sure you have a good ground connection where the taillight bolts up! I sanded the frame for contact and added a washer as well. |

Does anyone try to control another valve like this ?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vacuum-Acti...sAAOSwa0VZ~Cik So in theory, you if you want it to sound louder than stock, you can add another vacuum valve and you can control it by remote control, the question is there is enough OEM vacuum pressure to open the add on valve (it said it will open at aprox. 1 bar) ? |

Does that mean we have to cut of the male conector that is in the car so we can have the wires exposed or use your extender you are talking about and cut the male part to have bare wire? Last edited by TheMidnightNarwhal; 12-09-2018 at 12:11 AM.. |

I'm just wondering how did you tap into factory wires for the power IN+ and IN- on the wireless board? And to be clear based on the diagram, the bottom connector is the one coming from the computer and the top one goes to the vacuum controller valve? I thought it was the opposite so it's why this diagram is throwing me off here. |
