HPI check

where's the best place to do an HPI check, I don't wont one of these £3 text back things!
ideally one that covers prior financial agreements etc

Experian Autocheck I think its called - about a tenner a time or you can buy a pack of 4 or 5 for about £20 from memory. Gives a lot of info on ownership, finance, insurance write offs etc. All online immediately and a warranty available for their info if you buy the car.

thanks both, Im just filling in the details on the AA site now.

the car in question has a previous HPI check, but as its a private sale I'm being a little bit cautious.

I think you can get 5 for £30 or something with AA. That's what I bought. They last ages and I have sold them to my friends etc.
