Probably better off not touching it mate, get an OBD tool set and keep on top of thermostats and possibly glow plug issues depending on DDE version and you can of course monitor your DPF levels to ensure you don't get more drastic issues.

Bwchiptune dynod both a DPF and DPF delete and the gains where next to nothing with remaps. it would really take some power to really need the DPF gone.

As mentioned above, why? Theres no point if it doesnt give you power gains. All it does is cause your soot to pump out into the atmosphere for us to breath in. Not to mention the stink that will come out of your car, even if the tune doesnt smoke too much it will still stink. Not nice in summer when you have the windows down.

Had a DPF delete on my previous 330d, left the DPF in my current 330d, the smell when hot is nasty without a DPF

Hi mate, the dpf and the cat are contained in the same unit, if you use a dpf delete pipe you will remove both, some people cut open the unit and remove the internals from the dpf section only. Sadly what has been said already is true, however i hope this answers your question whatever your reason for removal.

Just out of curiosity, why do cars that have had the dpf removed smell so bad compared to older ones that never had one in the first place?
